Events and Celebrations
Whistler proudly hosts the annual Whistler Pride and Ski Festival, which celebrated its 30th year in 2023. One of the biggest and best, queer-focused ski weeks in North America, the 2SLGBTQIA+ pride week features a packed events schedule of skiing, snowboarding, celebrations, arts and culture and social events.
As host of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Whistler made history by providing the first ever Pride House Pavilion. Located in the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and featuring a bright colourful entrance, the Pavilion provided a safe, comfortable space for queer athletes and support staff attending the games.

Tourism Whistler offers inclusivity and sensitivity training for resort staff provided by QMUNITY, a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, BC that works to improve queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives.
